A neighborhood of sailors, immigrants, poor people, gambling houses, taverns, drunkards and bribe sellers: this was the reputation, in the second half of the 19th century, of Bowery Street, a famous New York City thoroughfare commonly known as "The Bowery ", in the heart of Manhattan. Today The Bowery is a completely redeveloped area, thanks to the relaunch determined by the opening of trendy nightclubs from the 60s onwards by the mixing of disparate ethnic groups and by the crossing of artists and musicians combined for restyling in the street of jazz at fashion, punk and new wave. Bowery NYC's goal is to reflect the style that has been created in this neighborhood, starting with a collection of vintage-style washed T-shirts, pre-ripped and pre-soiled with their overdyed effects. The graphics are inspired by objects, signs and icons that have helped transform the neighborhood into the birthplace of a new and distinctive style.
